V. R. Vaish Chairman

Are Civil Engineer and topper from IIT, Roorkee. He retired as the first Director General of C.P.W.D., one of the highest engineering positions in Government of India. He was the Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC and has been an advisor to several government organizations. He is one of the very few people who have been honoured with the Engineers India Award by the Institution of Engineers, an award given only to people who have achieved great heights in the field of Engineering. He is a Member of the Governing Body of Delhi Public School Society, which runs 140 schools in India and abroad and also the Chairman of more than 10 DPS Schools. He was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Roorkee Alumni in Jan’2009 for his outstanding work in the area of Engineering.

H. R. Vaish, Managing Director

An Electrical Engineer and a first generation entrepreneur, since the time he graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in 1976. In 1980, he established the largest computer centre using a computer imported from USA and developed expert systems for data processing. He was involved in software development for over 15 years. The idea of manufacturing power conditioning equipments, such as Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and inverters, was conceived by him in 1990 and thus Instapower was born. Since 2003, the company diversified into the area of Energy Efficient Lighting Systems using LEDs and T5 Tube lights. Mr. Vaish has filed a number of patents in the area of LED Lighting both in India and abroad. The Chief Minister of Delhi awarded Instapower for the energy efficient solution presented by him for solving the Nation’s energy crisis. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Lighting Engineers.

B. K. Raizada, Independent Director

A Chartered Accountant from England & Wales and the Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. His assignments have been with Rambutan in UK as Finance Manager, a subsidiary of Bass Charrington London and with Warner Hindustan, Mumbai as Audit and Systems Manager. Then, he moved on to join Ranbaxy Laboratories, New Delhi, as a Finance and Internal Audit head. His last assignment with Ranbaxy was as Sr. VP, Allied Businesses, Corporate and Govt. Affairs and Corporate Communications also Director in charge – Speciality Ranbaxy, Mumbai. He is a keen spokesperson for the pharmaceutical industry in various trade forums interacting with the government and various organizations. He is also an expert on WTO / IPR issues.

S. S. L. Gupta, Independent Director

An M. Com., LL.B., M.B.A. – FINANCE, C.A.I.I.B., he is an advocate by profession and has also done his MBA in finance. He was the Legal advisor to IFCI and is also a leading advocate having a rich experience of around 47 years in the field of law & finance. Several Govt. organizations are availing his expertise in the legal field of finance not only for vetting of legal documents but also for handling the legal matters in Courts.

Pawan Kumar Garg, Independent Director

An Electrical Engineer form Pujab Engineering Collage, Chandigarh. He is a Fellow of Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (India) for last 20 years and has been a Member of its Governing Council also. Mr. Garg retired on 30th April 2008 as wireless Adviser to Government of India, Ministry of Communication & IT after 39 years’ service with the Government. After his retirement, he was made a Member of Govt. of India committee of spectrum allocation procedure and pricing. He is also a Member of the Radio Regulations Board (RRB) of ITU, Geneva.

Kulmohan Singh Mehta, Independent Director

A graduate in electrical engineering from I.I.T. Delhi and done his compute science from USA. He is currently a Professor and Dean at G.L.Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management , Greater Noida. Mr. Mehta area of experience include Information Systems , EDI, Software Engineering. Mr. Mehta has 12 years teaching (Graduate, Post Graduate & Corporate) experience and over 20 years of Industry experience.

Abhijit R. Vaish, ED – Operations

An Electrical Engineer from Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA. He had worked with Analog Devices, USA for a brief period during his semester & summer internships. After completing BSEE in 2003, he returned to India to work in the area of Energy Efficiency by developing a number of products in the area of LED Lighting. His articles have been published in engineering journals and he has also been actively involved in conceptualizing new product development including the Energy Efficient Tube lights. He has presented the ideas of LED Lighting to political leaders, bureaucrats and officers of various departments in India. He presently looks after all the Technical functions and operations at Instapower.

Satyajit R. Vaish, ED – Sales and Marketing

A Bachelors in Business Administration from Amity Business School, Noida. He is actively involved in marketing of Instapower LED products and the business expansion of the company. He was also instrumental in getting various approvals of the products from government organizations such as BSNL, MES, CPWD, AAI, etc.

S.S.K. Dora, General Manager (Technical)

S.S.K. Dora, General Manager (Technical), has a rich work experience of 15 Years in the various fields of Power Electronics & Lighting. He has been with Instapower for the last 15 years. Out of this more than ten years experience is in circuit designing. He has upgraded and designed many electronics circuits for which the end products in the field of power electronics and LED lighting applications are successfully launched in the market. He is AMIE, in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Institution of Engineers, Kolkata in the year 1991.
